01 / BEFORE YOU DEPLOY
Make the first raid a recovery you can afford
For a learning run, choose Normal and equipment you can replace. Carry a quiet melee option and medical supplies; keeping your first haul matters more than bringing your most expensive gun. This is a conservative starting recommendation, not a claim that Normal has the best rewards.
Stillwater’s infected follow sound. Close doors, move quietly and use a blade when the encounter allows it. Gunfire and broken glass can turn a small fight into a much larger one.
| Your situation | A useful next decision | Why |
|---|---|---|
| You are learning the map | Take a replaceable loadout into Normal | A death risks your carried equipment; map familiarity makes later spending easier to judge. |
| You already own a valuable weapon | Keep it in the lobby stash until you can afford its loss | Owning a weapon is different from needing to risk it on the next raid. |
| The route is getting noisy or supplies are running low | Stop adding loot and work toward an available exit | More loot has no value in the stash until you bring it home. |
02 / PROTECT YOUR PROGRESS
Loot in your bag is still at risk
The official rule is simple: dying inside a raid costs what you brought; the secure case comes home. Treat normal carried gear and the secure case as different risks, and keep equipment you are not deploying with in your lobby stash.
Before taking another detour, decide whether the extra find is worth risking the carried haul. Put eligible priority items in the secure case when they fit, then plan the exit for everything else. A larger backpack adds carrying room, not death protection.
03 / THE WAY OUT
Choose an exit that matches what you actually carry
Open the town map with M and read the extraction list for this raid before committing to a route. Creator recordings show different exit sets; the same three exits are not guaranteed every time.
| What you have | Decision example | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| A backpack full of loot, no flare | If Highway Roadblock is listed, use its timed-zone option rather than planning around the helipad or a no-backpack exit | Hospital Helipad asks for a flare; an observed Storm Drain asks for no backpack. |
| A flare and a listed Hospital Helipad | Reserve the flare for that extraction and route toward the pad | A flare requirement is different from simply reaching the map marker. |
| A listed Smuggler’s Boat but less than $2,000 cash | Choose a different listed exit before the raid clock forces the issue | That observed boat option required $2,000; a location alone does not fulfill its condition. |

05 / OPEN BETA
Know which information can change
HUSH is currently described by its developer as pure PvE. Normal, Hard and Nightmare raids are listed in the official description. Open beta means mechanics and balance can change.
HUSH4K is listed as available by one code publisher and expired by another in the October 15 material. Its reported reward is $4,000 and two Antiviral Capsules. Read the difference and the redemption steps before treating it as a working reward.
Quick questions
Can other players attack me in HUSH?
The current official description calls HUSH pure PvE. Up to 12 survivors can share a raid, with squads of up to four. Do not confuse the current mode with a future PvPvE plan.
Does a bigger backpack protect my loot when I die?
No. Extra storage is carrying space. The developer’s death-protection rule is tied to the secure case, so do not treat an expensive or large bag as insurance.
Should I always use the same extraction?
Read the current raid map first. Recorded runs show different exit sets, and individual exits may require a flare, cash or no backpack.
Is this the official HUSH wiki?
